Artist's Comments
this was for my illustration class. Point was to make an iconic picture of someone famous. I chose Bill gates. Yes it is a nod to the napolon bonaparte painting. Yes, It's very rough and incomplete and no, I'm not going to clean it up.
For me, I learned so much by trying to emulate the painterly style of the original painting. It would have been better, but for a week my pc was dead, so I don't think it's a bad job for only putting about 5-6 hours of work into it. The things I learned from this will really show with the next picture I'm coloring. It will be up most likely some time tonight |
